The new sobriquet's origin is Bryant's incessant whingeing.

"Whingeing"???

What kind of asshole can spell "sobriquet" but not "whining"? One that's most
likely drunk.....

(remove "nojunk" to reply)

From Merriam-Webster:

"Main Entry: whinge
Pronunciation: 'hwinj, 'winj
Function: intransitive verb
Inflected Form(s): whinged; whing·ing or whinge·ing
Etymology: from (assumed) Middle English, from Old English hwinsian;
akin to Old High German winsOn to moan
British : to complain fretfully : WHINE"

Perhaps you could purchase a finer dictionary?
The two - dollar specials from Wal Mart *do*
seem a bit limited.

As to my state of sobriety, I am, and have
been for years, sober as a judge. And the
reference to "Lare's Boyfriend?" Priceless!

Do try harder, Brybaby. You're missing the mark.

My second response to Brybaby:

"Dearest Brybaby,

In future, please refrain from sending replies to my
email inbox.

If you wish to respond to my newsgroup posts,
please do so in the newsgroup.

This will be your only warning.

Cordially,

Stephen M.H. Lawrence

One question: If Brybaby refuses my request and continues to fill
my inbox, does that constitute harassment?

Or, perhaps doing so would simply constitute an AOL TOS violation?

Inquiring minds want to know.

On the other hand, I *do* have a life to live. Perhaps merely
disregarding Brybaby's whingeing emails would be for the best.

Steve Lawrence

I always respond to his emails by simply saying: Stop emailing me you fat piece of
****!

He responds back by telling me he might do so if I'd only ask nicely.

When pigs fly! Heck, when Fat Boy's fly!

Poor dictionaries are no excuse. Dictionary.com is adequate, free and easy

Even Mr. Davies makes more than me lately.

Good luck, LW! One of the classes I teach includes interviewing and resume
writing. Let me know if there's any way I can possibly help!

I tell you what's inflated ... me .. tipped the scales at 230 last
week. Still wondering how that happened.

As for the resume, one of the guys doing the interview already knows
me. So I guess I better go with what's already there.

Put it this way Stephen,
Make sure you get someone 'in the knows' - you'll know by speaking with them,
you know what I'm saying, or request one.

They DO NOT look fondly at things of this nature. If he keeps emailing you, let
aol know you are being harrassed, they will do 'something.'
