10.512?
 

Have listened to the mysterious sounds at 10.512. They seem to be audible at
any hour. I have heard them at all hours of the day and night. I have no idea
what they are but the do sound interesting. There is also a similar but not the
same type of noise on 10.580. Does anyone know the origin of this noise it
almost sounds like RTTY while you quick adjust the BFO back and forth. It could
be something common. A quick google search didn't produce anything of interest.
Maybe someone out there knows.

The signal you hear on 10.580 MHz might be the so-called 'squeaky
wheel'. This signal usually exists in the lower bands (3-4 MHz) though.
What's on 10.512 MHz is called 'Backwards Music'. 'The Squeaky Wheel'
doesn't seem to be as strong a signal as 'Backwards Music' Read about

I tried it using the Audacity app on my PC and it didn't produce any
kind of speech that I could comprehend. If you want to try this on your
PC and you have Audacity or a similar app, record at 11 MHz, select the
entire recording and reverse it and then resample it at 44 MHz or
higher. Good luck.

Now we've all heard of stories, where 'accidents' occur and a normal citizen
hears something they're not realy suppose to.

Gives me the perfect time to tell a story.:-) I was watching this good UFO VHS
tape today (now I know most of you guys know of this but still, it's cool -I
wished it'd have been me) But you know how the usual UFO show goes, actually
it was more informational than most.

But the narrator spoke of the time that (I wrote this down to post in
here....lol) a Maryland Ham Operator picked up the voice of Discovery pilot
Colonel John *Blaun*---might not be the proper spelling-I just jotted down the
way it sounded.*

speaking on a 'secret' NASA channel in the March of 89. Can you imagine and I
wonder what the story is/was with THAT Ham operator (did he just 'happen' upon
this or how did he react-appparently he taped it.)

I wonder did the Colonel say it twice (sounds of the same pitch in voice) or

Anyone know of this personally? Maybe know the Ham, is he in here- his name HAD
to be published. That'd be something to just 'happen upon something'.......I
remember once (early in the morning with a friend to verify) I happened onto
it....... sounded like a lotta cocaine deal. The one guy telling the other guy
basically to "be cool, watch what you're saying- you can be heard."

But the guy was talking of wantin to drop these *Keys*......I don't think it
was the keys that open my door either. I know it was in the upper part of the
spectrum in the middle of the night. It was a neat catch.:-)

The way I remember it, it wasn't a "secret" frequency, it was the WA3NAN
rebroadcast of NASA's audio feed. The alien spacecraft reference doesn't appear
in the original version, so presumably somebody was jamming WA3NAN.
