If anyone can grab that, they should take a listen. That area (Louisville is
the major area) a bunch of little areas around there have been hammered with
tornados.

You might want to take a listen, pretty interesting. What does 'silent mode'
mean? That is what one of the announcers said they were going to go into to
'clean up'?

If that means the station is going to shut it down for a little that might give
the BCB dxers a shot at other. FWIW.

My son lives and works on the northeast side of Louisville and he said that
he saw three funnel clouds today while he was at work. He was pretty freaked
out.

What a day! Tornados all over the place. Got to see a funnel cloud pass a few
hundred feet over top of me.

WHAS-AM, 840, did a fabulous job even as their transmitters were being
clobbered. WLKY-Channel 32 has done an incredible day of covering two major
fronts that passed through. Their Super-Doppler technology was outstanding.
Tracked the storms all the way from St. Louis....

Yep, it was pretty bad. I live in Cincinnati but I grabbed all my info to
listen on the BCB to any station around that area, sounds like some areas were
very devastated.

Maybe a prayer or two or three for those folks out in that area.

And if I remember, channel 32 got knocked off the air for a few minutes.
Their studios were right in the path of the storm if I'm not mistaken.
Boy was that freaky.

Didn't WHASTV-11 go blank for a few seconds also? Thought my drop was
hit when they went blank!
