Sony ICF-M410V: 9/10kHz switch and AM reception...

Hi all,

I have simple question regarding Sony ICF-M410V radio. Judging by
some messages already posted here it seems to have relatively good
AM reception (close to Superadio III?). SW/LW is missing though,
so this message might be slightly OT...

I plan to travel to Europe and in that case I will need radio that
has 9/10 kHz switch. Does this radio have it? Separate question
would be is this radio really good (AM/FM reception - with weight
put on AM).

Thanks!
-Alexa.

The Sony ICF-M410V radio does have the 9 or 10 kHz steps, you just
need to press the "power" and "clock" buttons (check the manual).

MW(AM) reception is good but not too close to the SRIII but very
acceptable.

Good things for this radio:

1.-Very pleasant sound (full)
2.-Innovative design.
3.-excellent sensitivity and good selectivity for its price. (USD
39.95 at Target)
4.-Very well built (as expected from a Sony product)
5.-Nice tuning knob on the side

This radio needs: (without increasing its price)

1.-Backlight
2.-Headphone jack needs to have two channels not only one (even if no
true FM stereo comes out of it)
3.-they could improve selectivity a bit.
