Parts for a DX-398
 

I am looking for parts for my old DX-398, and I once called Radio Shack
for to see what they have, and they discontinued them. Is there anything
that can help me find replacement parts for a old DX-398.

The Parts I need are and also need the prices for them:

1 Front Case
1 Back Case
1 RF Gain Knob
1 Speaker
1 Telescoping Rod Antenna with Holder.
1 Carrying Case

You need to call the radio shack parts place, they have those parts, at
least a few months ago, I check on the front a to see how much it was to
replace, I don't rememver the $$, must of been too much cause I didnt do it!

I recently ordered and received a case, antenna, speaker and plastic lcd
cover through my local RS. Just download the parts list and call the 1-800
number or order at the store. I was able to restore a $20 thrift store find.

It's a Sangean 818. Get parts from Sangean. What have you been doing, using
this radio for a football?

The Sangean ATS818 is the equivalent of the Radio Shack DX-390. The
Sangean ATS818ACS is the equivalent of the RS DX-392.

The Sangean equivalent of the DX-398 is the Sangean ATS909.
Regardless, Sangean should still have the parts. The cabinet will be
silver in color instead of charcoal.
