Jazz over SW

Hello. I've been trying to collect jazz music over SW, and have found some
good stations, mainly from Cuba, New Zealand, Russia, and Japan. Two
questions:

*Are there others I'm missing?
*There seems to be a lot of jazz over SW compared to other music. I stated
listening to SW just to pick up jazz while camping, and now I find ONLY
Jazz. Is it just my imagination, or is jazz the preferred genre over SW?

Thanks,

Hi Bob.

I went back through my SW log to find this...
on March 27 and 28th I tuned in Radio Educacion in Mexico City,
1100-1200 UTC and 1100-1130 on 6185 kHz. During both broadcasts I heard
jazz vocals and instrumentals. The 27th included Ella Fitzgerald and
Billie Holliday, and the 28th they played a whole Billie Holliday album
and followed it with Jean Luc Ponty, which was playing as the sun came up
and reception faded.
Since then I've not had good luck receiving the station, but I guarantee
you I'll be trying next winter when reception is better. It's worth trying for
if you live in the eastern US. That's where I am, and I have to tell you
it was a treat hearing that music over shortwave at 6 a.m. local time.

I CONCUR! I have heard some very fine Dave Brubeck - like modern groups on
Russian broadcasts, albeit so imperfect I was unable to get information
about how to get published works...really good stuff!

On weekends sometimes during the day from the US you can catch VOA to
Africa, I've heard some really wonderful jazz on that station.
