I am thinking of buying a Roberts R9917 radio from the UK. Will the RDS
function work in the US?

Don't you think it would be easier to order the Sangean DT 220 in the US
then? ;) And yes, RDS is the same regardless of country. (IIRC it's less
popular with stations in the US, while being standard over here.)
