Greetings: I'm looking at a few SW radios to replace my old 803A.... All three are Grundig radios: S350 Your choice if you're a knob twiddler and don't mind plenty of images (single conversion with no front end tuning, it appears). More a fun radio with good sound, not a DX machine. YB400 PE The most serious choice of the bunch. A dual conversion portable with everything such a rig needs, except for synch detection and sideband selectable SSB. Good sound for the size, good FM selectivity, but some FM images on SW, phase noise could be lower (probably still better than on the old 803A). Would prefer Sony ICF-SW7600GR if more biased towards shortwave and less towards FM. YBP-2000 (Mini) Abysmal performance for the price. No thanks.
