Mine takes 4 AAA's-- rechargeables last a substantial amount of time--in excess of 20 hours certainly. It is also the best small (well, tiny really) portable speaker I've heard for reproducing music from an mp3 player. Count your blessings. One of my pet peeves concerns the number of batteries in a lot of portable devices. A lot of them take **three** batteries. All the chargers I've seen take either two or four batteries at a time. That's how they're sold, too. How does someone go about easily charging that odd battery out? If it's done right, you'd need at least four batteries and rotate regularly through the things to make sure they all get used evenly. That means marking each one individually. For the camera I use there are four batteries. I have two sets of them. Each set is marked as a group..aaaa and bbbb. No confusion or mixing. mike (bitching about everything) II |
