Hi Dan,
My comment was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the original poster of this thread, DesignGuy. My occupation is graphic design; I wasn't referring to antenna design ;^) BTW, as Jim mentioned you can get Wellbrook items from The Shortwave Shop in the UK, but the exchange rate is poor for US purchasers. When I bought my Wellbrook antennas in the past, I dealt directly with Andy Ikin at Wellbrook. His small firm is very similar to Kiwa Electronics in the US, owned by my long time friend Craig Siegenthaler. They both produce high quality, specialty products for the shortwave and mediumwave enthusiast. Where can I purchase the Wellbrook ALA 330S shortwave loop antenna within the U.S.? Anyone stateside carry it? TIA DesignGuy, Wellbrook still sells direct from the UK as their only method of distribution. When I bought an ALA1530 and K9AY from them, the items were very well packed and they arrived in the USA promptly. Guy Atkins (who also does design :^) --------- So the question is, has Guy Atkins a good or better design for sale ready-made? (I am assuming that he designs an antenna system to order instead.) |
