Just got a new (well, used) Degen 1103 for $43, including shipping. Incredibly
amazing sensitivity off just the built-in antenna. This morning (Sept,4 ) logs:

11665 1235 TAIWAN, CBS-Taipei, excited YL in Chinese. Good, better than
//11605.

11710 1238 N KOREA, VoK-Kujang, YL in Korean. Fair to Good.

11740 1210 SINGAPORE, NHK-Kranji, OM/YL in Chinese w/ end of nx. Good.

11760 1213 CHINA, CRI-Kunming, OM w/ nx report in Engl about Chinese
legal system. Fair //11980

11800 1215 CHINA, CNR-Beijing, OM in Chinese w/ slow commentary. Weak, but
in clear w/ no Cuba.

11825 1217 PHILILPPINES, VOA-Tinang, OM/YL in Chinese w/ nx. Good, Mx
Jammer underneath.

11870 1220 THAILAND, RT-Udon Thani, OM in Indo w/ nx. Het, WUN-Costa
Rica?

11990 1224 NO MARIANAS, VOA-Tinian, OM/YL in Chinese, Good. No trace of
jammer. //12040

12055 1227 RUSSIA, VoR-Chita, OM w/ prob nx. Fair to good.

12105 1229 GUAM, KSDA-Agat. YL in Chinese speaking over relig mx. Weak.

12130 1231 GUAM, KTWR-Agana. YL in Chinese w/ slow relig. Weak.

15285 1243 SINGAPORE, BBC-Kranji, OM discussing Pakistan. Good, Mx Jammer.

Possibly polar, used to hear most of these stations pretty regular when I lived
in the far West, could be Great Circle dust-to dawn line.

Damn, the combination of sensitivity and low noise floor in both Degen 1102 &
1103 is pretty amazing. The downside is that SSB reception could be better.
