Weird noises on 6905

at 0420 UTC. Any ideas? It's fading in and out pretty badly here in the PNW.
It's also definitely a different pattern than the ones I've heard and posted
about in other recent threads.

If I remember, I'll listen for this tonight. Let us know if you hear it
again tonight (or any other time, for that matter). Mystery-noise signals
have always been among my favorite catches.

"The Democrats are all over this. Democratic strategists feel John Kerry's
war record means he can beat Bush. They say when it comes down to it, voters
will always vote for a war hero over someone who tried to get out of the war.
I'll be sure to mention that to Bob Dole when I see him." -- Jay Leno

Will do. I've been planning on setting up a way to record some of these
things for uploading. Maybe this is the shove that I need to actually do it.

Then again, maybe it's Friday and I've had a rough week. ;)

Well, I monitored 6905 from 0350 to 0431 UTC and didn't hear it. I did hear
what I believe to be some sort of voice transmission, but it was much too
faint to make out any words or even guess at the language. Probably has
nothing to do with last night's transmission. Nuts.

At some point last night, I believe around 0300 UTC, I read the post
above, tuned to 6905 khz and did hear it. No idea what it is. There's
obviously some pattern or rhythym to it. There's some complexity to
it, with differently timed pauses and so on, and it's fairly short
lived. I listened to it for a couple of minutes and went to make a pot
of coffee. When I returned with my coffee, 'it' was gone.
