Yep, always plays the tune again at sign off. I've had to stop listening to the
Poacher for a while. When I do, I find myself humming that damn tune all day long.

Lots of receivers (Grundig S-800, S-650, Drake R8, many others), about
50' random wire in the attic, southeast coast of US.

It was very weak here. I could barely make out the numbers as they were
read off. It was there for sure though. What radio, antenna you currently
using ???
