Default DAB EPG demonstrated at IBC

Ensigma - a division of Imagination Technologies - is demonstrating
Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) support for DAB digital radios at
the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam.

Ensigma's EPG receiver and front-end software enables users to browse
programmes for a single station or all programmes on at a particular
time, and to select them for scheduled listening or recording to SD
memory card. The EPG is being demonstrated on the advanced Bug DAB
digital radio from PURE Digital, which is already widely commercially
available.

Says David McBrien, VP Business Development, Imagination Technologies:

"The EPG enables radio listeners to search the listings of digital
stations they receive, then select a programme, or set a reminder up
to seven days in advance. It brings the functionality we now take for
granted in digital television broadcast to DAB digital radio and is
set to permanently change the way listeners interact with their
radios."

Both Ensigma and PURE Digital have been actively involved in the
WorldDAB EPG TaskForce's development of a new open standard EPG.
Field trials have been in progress in the UK and Canada over the last
few months and broadcasts of the new EPG format will be on air from
Q4 2004. PURE Digital is expected to have the first EPG-enabled
consumer products, starting with a software update for The Bug by the
end of 2004. The USB-enabled Bug radio can be upgraded with new
functionality by the user using software downloaded from PURE's
website.

IBC is the world's leading event for professionals involved in the
creation, management and delivery of entertainment content and will
take place at the Amsterdam RAI from 10 - 14 September 2004.
