Russian Station? 6.235
Hi
Accidently came across a unidentified Russian station on 6.235 as of 0515-0530. Pop music and commentar by a Russian OM. I have little idea what it is. |
i have in front of me a copy of Ferrell,s Confidential Frequency List.
according to this book the band between 6235.0 kHz and 6259.0 kHz comprises 7 ship station channels of 4kHz width. and are for fax and data and other special transmissions... hope this helps answer your question... It would most likely be Trans World Radio in Polish directed to Eastern Europe. They use 6235 and 7380 between 0515 and 0530, transmitters in Albania. This transmission appears to be 7 days a week. Monday through Friday at 0530 they apparently switch to Slovak till 0545 on 6235 via Albania and 7210 via Germany. dxAce Michigan. |
