Ramadan
Ramadan begins this year on either October 15 or 16. I checked a few sites and
come up with the two different dates. Look for extended broadcast sckeds from countries that celebrate Ramadan. dxAce |
Depends on the Moon, Sunset and if they can read or not as to the date.

And, I wonder, like the equinox (tomorrow) whether the date is based on
where you are located when it happens? Mark. "Burr" wrote in message news:rPF3d.6202$vd1.2071@trnddc03... Depends on the Moon, Sunset and if they can read or not as to the date. And, I wonder, like the equinox (tomorrow) whether the date is based on where you are located when it happens? The equinox happens at the same time for everyone. See: http://solar.physics.montana.edu/YPO...s/equinox.html for a good discription. Terry |

Same exact 'time' perhaps, but not necessarily the same 'date'. Just like Ramadan. It depends on where in the world one is at the precise 'time'. dxAce |

Terry,
Thanks for the lesson. But, as dxAce has already said, the equinox will happen at a precise time, as the sun crosses the equator (either North-to-South or South-to-North). So depending on where you are on the planet, the local time will differ. As will the sidereal (non-mean time) time at your location. Mark. "Terry" wrote in message m...
