i'm looking to purchase a general coverage receiver 100kc-30 mc. anyone
have ideas as to the most sensitive & selective receivers in the less than

If you have a computer, get a used RX-320 ($300 new). You cannot get more
radio for the money and available 3rd party software packages are superb.

A used Ten-tec rx-320 would probably cost $200-$225.

Do a google groups search on it - I think you'll find just about
everyone who has had one liked it, and thought it did well on bang for
the buck.

Ten Tec RX 320

Tunes at down to ONE hertz increments. Great for ssb..

Good software available...mostly free or almost free.
These will run without the radio so you can get a feel for the features.
The computer lets you have a HUGE database of stations that can be tuned
by just clicking in the listed frequencies.
