In Dan Rather's defense, it must be confessed, he is simply a
newsreader

I think not. Dan Rather IS CBS news, and don't even think otherwise. He
controls it, he writes it, and he performs it.

And his retirement this Christmas will now be forever tainted and disgraced.

His swan song has become a crow call.
