Buying an Interceptor 10K Antenna

I am currently running an old Antron 99, which has served me
well, except for lighting up my neighbor's telephone wires. I am
seriously considering buying an Interceptor 10K Antenna, for use on 11
meters. Can anyone think of any reasons why I shouldn't buy one?

Is the Antron still working? If yes, why change?

My 20 year old Antron 99 works fine, but I'd like to get
something that hears, and gets out, better.

Indeed, why change? The A-99 is a great antenna for 10 or 11 meters. About
the only way you will do any better is with a quad or yagi. I have worked
the world with an A-99 and 100 watts on 10 meters. Good luck,

The only way you will see a noticeable gain is if you switch to a beam. No
vertical will give a noticeable improvement over what you have.
