I had one of those with a '515 I owned for a brief time. I also had the memory
unit.

That memory unit was the NDH-515 and only stored 24 frequencies. It was big!

Amazing how the technology has improved, the R8B has 1000 memories and I don't
use a single one!

Yes, the 545 has 1000 memories also.

DX ACE,

On the Kenwood R-5000 and Icom IC-R75. I have the low-end Frequency
for each of the International Shortwave Bands (13) and the AM/MW Band
in stored in Memory; plus WWV at 5, 10 and 15 MHz. All the other
memories are Blank. I just enjoy Spinning the Knob.
