VOA Thailand, 1575 kHz

1575 THAILAND VOA Ayutthaya, Sep 27 1355 - Female anouncer in SE Asian
language to 1400 'This is the Voice of America' ID by man in English. VOA
trumpet fanfare, then male announcer in another Asian language (Vietnamese?)
with possible news items. Strong signal at top of hour, on an otherwise very
below average trans-Pacific MW DX morning. This was the only 9-kHz station
heard with audio. For some reason, 1575 is usually just a het when other
Asian MW stations are coming in... but very audible today! This is an easy
catch on DXpeditions at the coast but not often heard at my inland home.

The VOA website shows Khmer on that frequency from 1330-1430, Vietnamese from
1300-1330.
