I've had a slight problem with RF noise here since around June or so.
The local power company has been out, and is unable to locate it, but we have localized it down to a particular section of line. Fortunately, they are bringing in a RFI hunting service from Maryland later this month for some seminars for the local folk, then after that they'll be around to find and fix the problem along with the RFI hunting service. I had a similar problem last fall along the same section of line, but at that time the problem was found fairly easily. This one is a bit more problematic and the local folks have been out with sophisticated RFI sniffers, and even some ultrasonic equipment designed for such purposes. Hopefully the pro will be able to clue them in and find it. I must say that I get good service from the local power company. dxAce Michigan |
