Thanks very much, that was it...

Some further info from John Charlton:

A C-141 is to head south tomorrow morning NZ time, two on Friday, one on
Saturday and then two on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday NZ, for the rest
of the month but a schedule like that is very easily stuffed up by wx or
other problems.

As a rule of thumb, most flights leave in mornings from say, 1900z.

Eh, make that 22:40 UTC! Still listening now, at 00:38 UTC. I did have to go
out though for about 90 minutes, so no idea what I might have missed
(again)!

Mark.

What is a typical return flight-time ? Was listening on Saturday ,
9/10/04 and caught some traffic but couldn't ID the stations, also
9031 keep breaking through late in afternoon, Sydney time making it
hard to monitor 9032.

Cheers

Antarctic season opens with ICE 05 on local Tuesday.

ICE 05 has departed Christchurch for McMurdo, reporting position APORO 1841 and
checking position BOSLA at 1916, est DALOS (60 south) at 1950. Monday zulu date
and time

The callsign number is a carryover from the WinFly (Winter Fly in) four flights
in late August.

ICE 05 should be a C-141. There are 50 pax

ICE 06 should be a C-17 with 101 pax and will depart 3 hours after ICE 05
