managed to hear Debate on Pacific island
Here in faraway Taiwan, the news mentioned the Final Presidential
Debate so I decided to give it a listen. First scanning all local AM, FM, and TV stations for any rebroadcasts and finding none, perishing any thoughts of Internet listening on my little modem, I turned to the trusty shortwave. Sure enough on 16 meters I was able to find the only VOA channel that China forgot to jam that day, maybe because it was in English, and managed to mostly hear the broadcast. |

Coming home on the NYC Subway at ~9:30 ; I found that, if I stood REAL close to the doors while the train was ~20 feet below street level, I could pick up Some of the broadcast on local A.M. on my Sangean DT110 - But quite seriously, congratulations on that catch and thanks for reporting it Dan / NYC |
