Is this Radio Nac De La Rasd in Rabuni, Algeria? The PWBR lists it as a new
20kw domestic station, but here in the Midwest, it's coming in like
gangbusters. On any given evening, I've got a steady 15db/S-9 signal. Anyone
QSL'ed this one yet? Good DXing to you, Gary

It's coming in on the east coast fairly clear but not great, with an
intermittent "wood pecker" sound about every 10 sec.

Seems to have gone off at 8:00 GMT but the wood pecker continues along
with a lot of "crickets" or very high speed CW bleed over now.

It's National Radio of the Democratic Arab-Saharan Republic, currently operating
on 7460. It's a quasi-clandestine station and has been operating since about
1975 on various frequencies. They have broadcasts in Arabic and Spanish.

As far as I know it has been QSL'd in the past.

The address should be in Passport under Western Sahara.

AL and Ace, Thanks for the comeback. I'll send in a reception report and shoot
for a QSL. Good DXing to you, Gary
