New version of Shortwave Log released

A new version of Shortwave Log, a remote control and logging program, has
been released. New versions of the Windows and Pocket PC versions are
available.

Here is a quick run-down of the feature set:

* Designed for shortwave and medium-wave listening.

* The program can be run in English, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, or
Spanish.

* Remote control (either locally or over the Internet) of the Icom
PCR-100/1000, Ten-Tec RX-320, Drake R8A/R8B, and Lowe HF-250E. Other radios
like the Icom R75, NRD-525/535/545, Lowe HF-235, and many other Icom
CIV-based radios are partially supported. A web interface is available to
publish your radio to the Internet.

* QSL Writer in nine languages.

* Support for many databases including HFCC, ILGRadio, EiBi, Prime Time
Shortwave, FCC AM, FCC HF, FCC Amateur, Canadian Amateur, and NIMA beacons.

* A "What's Playing Now" feature that shows all current transmissions.
Those transmissions to your part of the world are highlighted. The feature
displays a world map and pinpoints the location of the transmissions.

* QSL tracking and monitoring, including native support to directly scan
QSL cards into the program.

* Extensive reporting capabilities with all reports capable of being
converted to Adobe Acrobat PDF or Microsoft Word DOC formats.

* Grayline and MUF/LUF prediction.

* The Shortwave Log Community, a real-time multi-user logbook.

* Integration with the Pocket PC version, which allows you to log stations
and use the HFCC & ILGRadio databases anywhere!

The program is available from http://www.shortwavelog.com. You can also
remotely control radios over the Intenret from this address.

You can view some of the Community logs at
http://www.shortwavelog.com/Community

I hope you enjoy the program.
