Default ShortWave Log Question?

My system crashed and I have just started re-installing stuff. Last night I
spent getting the Shortwave Log program back with all the latest database
updates.

I am having a problem with the system settings Latitude/Longitude. No matter
how I enter the values it thinks I am in Russia somewhere? I have tried
using +- where required (I think correctly) I am thinking I am not doing
something right. BTW I am in Carrollton,TX right outside of Dallas.

From my GPS Latitude -- 32deg 58.18N
Longitude-096deg 54.11W

Any suggestions?

Maybe it only needs the degrees and minutes, not seconds.
32.58N
96.54W

Jim:
Which version of SWLog do you have??

I upgraded and my operating system (a garage sale derived 'puter with a
XP pro OS of dubious origins which refuses all updates

editions earlier than the latest SWOLOG work fine, cause I successively
upgraded off them.

I'm trying to find the whole SWLog file for a version preceeding the
current issue so I can reload and start from scratch

If those zipfiles are still around you could save my swl'in butt

There is a yahoo group for Shortwave Log for any questions on the
program. As far as longitude & latitude - West should be positive &
East negative. Opposite of the norm. North is positive and South negative.

Also it should be decimal only. Eg 54.11.

Hi, Jim.

Decimal format only (technically the format is "double").

There's a function in the program to convert from DMS to decimal.

32° 58' 18" N -- 32.9717
96° 54' 11" W -- 96.9197
