Where to get Sony SW-1S capacitor problem fixed
Any repair shops you can suggest especially in CALIF. Seems Sony no
longer repairs these according to their web site. Thanks |

Most likely (the original post(s) have scrolled off my newserver) it's a sort-of motorboating in the audio above a very low level. There are some small cpacitors on one of the boards that fail and replacing them fixes this. I know because I have a sw1s with the same problem and replacement caps on order. If the original poster is unable to do the repair himself I'll let him know how I get on. |
