Lack of finance I assume.

Lack of _interest_ in financing caused by lack of listeners (i.e., the
service lacks much worth while utility) which has been the case lately with
all but a few of the shortwave broadcasters--it's been shutdown after
shutdown over the past few years.

Probably a combination of politicians doubting how many really listen and
Israel's real budget problems.

So, get Washington to send ANOTHER five or six billion a year. They
seem to have more than they know what to do with. All those Russian
immigrants now living in Israel *need* new Sport Utility Vehicles.
Write your congressman, stop this needless suffering! Over HALF of
Israel's population is of recent Russian origin.

They also get easier immigration to the US from Israel than they would
have had from Russia...and who can blame them for getting out? The
State is almost bankrupt and all the subsidized living allowances have
been cut back drastically. It's hard to live for free in a bankrupt state.

Everyone knows that Russians emigrate to Israel only to make it easier
to get into Canada.

That may well be true. The US is the pot of gold, though.
