I am using an AOR AR5000A+3 this covers from 10kHz right up to 3GHz.
that's HF / VHF / UHF. this is a top receiver and will do anything you might want to do with your receiver and it does it good... I don't own a JRC NRD 545 but i am looking at the spec and it looks like its a very good HF receiver but the frequency coverage is only 0.1kHz to 29.999999kHz.... there is an optional internal converter that then allows you to receive right up to 2GHz but this converter costs £299.95 on top of the £1395 cost of the receiver..... then there is the question what is you main listening habits do you just scan around to see what you can hear or do you monitor a set frequency range say the amateur bands..... hope this helps "Robert11" wrote in message ...
