AIR Srinigar, 3390

AIR Srinigar 3390 in Sikkim finally making it through good enough for me to
finally count this one as being definetly heard this morning at 1240.

Very pleased to hear it this well, and it's my 235th NASWA country heard.

Please make the location Gangtok, rather than Srinigar...

SNIP---

country heard.

SNIP----

And also note, that the region is part of India since 1967 or 1968, so you
heard a station in India, rather than a separate country. Unless this is
your first log from India, you can not count it as NASWA country 235
confirmed in your logbook.
It still might be quite a DX catch, though, so, congratulations! and Enjoy!

Drink your coffee! People are sleeping in India!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news to you, but it is indeed a separate NASWA
country. It may be a 'part' of India, but under NASWA rules it was and will
remain a distinct radio entity.

I suggest you check the NASWA List:

http://www.anarc.org/naswa/list/

Look under India on the list.

Funny you should mention 3390. I logged comm traffic on 3390 USB at 3:20UT,
Dec 18th. It sounded like American hams. I took them to be MARS operators.
They had call signs with the prefix "NNN".
