If ICOM were truly a class act, again in my opinion, they would upgrade
the 'R75 as its shortcomings are well-known by now, and they should
even offer to arrange "fixes" for those radios already in service.

Why not just a petition with a lot of names? With all the R75 and R5 owners?
Could Icom ignore that?
