It is not a true portable. The only way it is a good performer is plugged
into the wall (so it doesn't eat batteries) and with 70 feet of wire for an
antenna. It's performance off the whip sucks (typical of Seangeans).

I have one of those radios. I don't really care for it. I use it as my
beater radio out in the garage or in the yard when I'm doing yard
work. It does not seem to be overly sensitive. Anyone else have any
luck with these?
