ILG database problem - help please
I can't get the standard ILG data or even my "premium"
data from ILG because my premium username/password doesn't work and I don't know a standard name/pw to get the regular data files. I tried the 12345 usernname and 123abc12 password that used to work in RLDB but no joy. Anyone know what I should enter to get the standard data files? I emailed and asked about my premium name and password, but no answer yet. Thanks everyone, and Happy New Year. |
It looks like there's a problem with the ILGRadio web site. You did not
need a username/password to download the standard files. But you are correct, it is prompting for one now. I had saved my username/password from a couple of years ago when one was required to download the standard files. They don't work. So I'm guessing that no username/password combination will work. There is a revised database as of today.... All with password access only. :-( My old ILG password doesn't work either... :-( Maybe it will be accessible after 6 weeks. As usual.... :-( |

I hope someone posts again if it gets fixed or the site gives information about how to get them now. I'll post if I hear from ILG about why my "premium" name and pw don't work. Yes, seems something is wrong or changed... but they haven't posted on the site that things have changed... e.g... using a password again for the regular data files. Not sure what's up, since my name and pw for the premium files won't work either. I hope it gets straightened out. |
Hi,
Just went to their site now (Jan 1st) and just noticed this: "ILGRadio download is password protected since January 1st 2005. Old passwords are no longer valid !" After applying for a new password I got this message: "No chance to get a password if using freemailers like yahoo, hotmail, ... !!!" Fortunately I didn't use a "freemailer" Take Care Abb Naklie Windsor, Ontario, Canada "Sanjaya" wrote in message link.net... "Sanjaya" wrote... I'll post if I hear from ILG about why my "premium" name and pw don't work. ILG wrote back in response to the inquiry about my *Premium* password not being valid. All they sent was a link to the web form for requesting a new *free* password... and a note saying "see this". http://www.ilgradio.com/ilg-order.htm I got that after I'd applied for a free one. After applying there was a message saying it takes "about a week". And as Abb pointed out, the kind people at ILG won't answer a password request from a free e-mail address like yahoo, hotmail etc., so if anyone needs to update ILG data use your ISP e-mail account to request a free password. I was confused about why ILG considers their time and information so valuable that only those willing to jump through the hoop are allowed access to what is apparently a highly guarded state secret. Then I got an e-mail from Condi Rice saying I had been temporarily approved to view the ILG data and would receive official clearance papers and an access code from NSA in "about a week"... pending the background check of course. |

Hello Helmsman,
I got mine within 24 hours as well and, like yours, it worked perfectly. But just HOW is this going to reduce the "spam" he claims he's getting? (Maybe HE ought to try Yahoo!, which is what I use as my main e-mail address. Their "spam filters" work very well. I rarely find "spam" in my "Inbox;" it goes to my "Bulk" folder which I never even look at; I just delete everything in it.) Best, Joe |

Meaning most SPAM comes from Hotmail, Yahoo etc addresses. And this means that mail coming from these addresses are by that reason often regarded as SPAM even if they are not. I am also staying away from them. /Sven |
