It's 2222 utc now. I've been listening to this frequency on and off for
about an hour. Seems to be a Canadian military frequency and there's
some sort of rescue operation afoot. I'm following a series of
exchanges between "Halifax military" and "Rescue 323". Might be worth
monitoring.

Yes, getting it OK here in northern Ohio. They've got a phone patch
going on between 323 and RCC. She's asking if there's oxygen on board
the vessel.

RCC = Rescue Coordination Centre

For anyone who may not be aware of that.

No, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. Seems quiet now, after
she changed freq's to 11187. I could hear her OK on 5717, but Halifax
couldn't make her out. And I had thought, on her earlier transmission
regarding the 29k pounds of fuel upon landing....I thought she was
saying 29 thousand pounds of fuel upon landing at "Greenland".

Sounds to me like Rescue 323 is making an inquiry for Rescue 906 who wants to
know if there is oxygen onboard a vessel, and mentioning something about a
patient.

Halifax military (male operator) coming in loud and clear. Rescue 323
(female operator) very weak, though understandable. (Southern New
Jersey, AOR AR7030 Plus, Wellbrook ALA 330S)

Something evidently has happened aboard a boat. They are going to see
if there is oxygen aboard it, though they say it is highly unlikely.

Might want to keep listening.

Wow, you guys don't mess around!

Halifax military has been having a lot of trouble reading Rescue 323.
I'm going to continue monitoring this frequency to see what develops.
It's been interesting so far.
