Republic on 31m but I'll bet pocket change that they were well heard
too.

An ocean away, Arnie Coro at RHC reports on January 5 that R. Rebelde,
Cuba, has a new 50kW transmitter on 5025 - how old? Their signal seems
newly potent...Arnie himself welcomes reception reports on R. Rebelde
for QSLs. Sure would like to hear R. Quillabamba again though...

** ZAMBIA. 4500, ZNBC: I spoke with their Director of Engineering this
morning. He says that they have just rehabilitated one of their two
100 kW transmitters and are testing it. Hence, the strong signals that
we have been receiving (Hans Johnson, Cumbredx mailing list Jan 5 via
Mike Terry, BDXC-UK via DXLD)

5th Jan they were already back on their normal 6165 kHz. Sign-on with
fish eagle IS from 0245, from 0251 NA and 4910 divided to the other
network. 73, (Mauno Ritola, Finland, ibid.)

I'm not sure whether they are using 4500 on a regular basis now or simply
testing, but, the fish eagle interval signal is something to hear for sure.
