radio-mart changes to private feedback

Hi

Martyn has changed his feedback to private. As of now, he's gotten 126
feedbacks in the last month, one was neutral, 8 were negs.

A seller claims his buying ID (gottahaveit1995) gave him a rubber check.

And less than an hour later he changed back to having visible feedback.

Wonder if he's reading rrs?

Look at the negative feedback where the buyer calls him (gottahave1995)
radio-mart, accuses him of shill bidding, and gottahaveit1995 responds
that he isn't radio-mart. What a laugh, radio-mart AKA gottahaveit1995
must think everyone is as dumb as he is.

I received an email from gottahaveit1995 about 10 months ago when I was
selling a radio on ebay. My radio did not get the reserve. Here is how
gottahaveit1995 signed his email:

Well you could always sell it to me for my Max bid??
Just let me know

Well after a very nice extended summer vacation, I am pleased to be back
and bringing you the finest in collectable radio equipment ever offered on
e-Bay.

The "summer vacation" as described above was actually the period of time
both radio-mart and gottahaveit1995 were listed by ebay as "non-registered
users"....you know what that means.

I remember seeing gottahaveit1995 posting positive feedback for radio-mart
about 2 years ago. When radio-mart returned this past fall as a registered
seller, those feedback listings disappeared. Strange.

6 of the negatives were from the same person.

for those that didn't know, the feedback rating is based on the number
of members, not the number of + and - so if a person gives 6 negs, it
only counts once, same for positives, only counts once

At the time I posted the information, his feedback was private, so there
wasn't a way to know they were from the same individual.

Personally, I think they should allow more than one feedback to count
from an individual, as long as it's no more than one feedback per
transaction.

Roughly one in four of my transactions are with people I've dealt with
before.

A reasonable compromise might be to put some sort of time limitation on
it - perhaps one per month, or quarter, or year.

I wasn't attacking or anything like that, I just mentioned that info
for people who didn't know how the feedback system worked, which I am
sure is not that clear to most people considering the way the info is
presented by ebay.

Many things appear to not be to clear to YOU. But whose fault is that?

Yours perhaps?

I didn't consider it to be an attack.

But the fact six were from one person is significant, and I didn't want
people to think I was hiding the information.

I don't have a problem with radio-mart or anyone else buying things for
resale. If a seller does a poor job of marketing what he has, and you
can make a profit from it, great!

My concern with radio-mart is he routinely puffs up the descriptions of
items he's reselling, and usually avoids mentioning flaws that were
clearly identified by the seller when he bought the item a few weeks
earlier.
