Sony 2010 for SSB Utilities

Anyone using the Sony 2010 mainly for ham and utility listening? I know it
only tunes in 100 Khz increments, but with a 20 foot wire antenna mine
really pulls in the weak signals....

I used to use it for listening to utes and it did an OK job. Still does but
I only use it portable now. I even took it along on a cruise ship and had a
great time up on deck monitoring utility traffic.

The only downside about using the 2010 for ute listening is the occasional
need to tweak the radio back on freq so that it doesn't sound funny while
listening to SSB stations. This requires opening up the rig and carefully
turning a pot while listening to WWV in alternating SSB and AM modes.

I used my Sony 2001D (wich is the same) for all stuff on SW but I use it
rarely since I have a NRD-525. No competition....
