The last 24 hours have featured the best reception for quite a while.
Very clear RA, BBC-Africa, Taiwan, Japan, China, a few others. And
these from source not Sackville etc. R-75 w/100m wire on the house,
102W 53N.

Yes it was pretty good today. I had some fading on the usually
excellent signal from Radio Netherlands from both the antilles and
Sackville. Signal levels throughout the 2 hours moved from +20 to S6,
which is about 40 dB.

They had a very good program on aging trends in different countries and
the social programs that take care of them. The real shock was the
indication from them that Bush was doing the right thing by making
changes in social security now rather than later where the Democrats
want to do nothing.

Another very good program was on the chinese "Art of War" book. If you
did not hear them this weekend maybe these will be repeated this week.

I did catch part of the program on aging and it was very interesting.

Don't know if anyone heard it, but Radio Ukraine also had an excellent
program on a jazz acapella group based in Kiev. Not the sort of music I
typically listen to, but they were really good! They did a version of
"Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child" that was second to none.
Also did some Georgian and of course Ukrainian folk songs.
