Lowe 150 Europa on Ebay

This is the same receiver that was advertised and later pulled. It's an
interesting item. It does appear to be a Europa, given the backlit
display and the '150E' that appears during powerup. However, the seller
says that this Europa was manufactured by SMC, and this does not appear
to be correct. If you enlarge the photo of the rear of the receiver, it
plainly says that the unit was manufactured by Lowe--not SMC. What this
suggests to me is that, at some point, Lowe must have dropped the
"Europa" script at the bottom of the front panel and also the copper
colored case. I didn't know that Lowe did this, but I don't know how
else to explain this item.

I personally like the standard 150. I live in NYC and I rarely have
trouble with overload, and never above 3mhz.

Interesting - last time, it was $595 buy it now. This time, it's $595 opening
bid.

I think $595 is pretty steep. It doesn't appear to come with the
keypad, and I'd expect a standard HF-150 to go for around $420-460.
Still, someone might buy it at that price.
