Your god says in the Bible that he will force everybody to bow down and
praise him! If it's done by force, how can God know that it's the true
opinion of the person in question or just something done because he
wills it to be done? That's the common delusion of every dictator in
history-eliminate the opposition, force everybody to agree with him,
then point to this forced agreement as evidence that he is right. Your
god sounds very much like a power mad human dictator-killing masses of
people for the slightest disagreement with him, forcing everybody to
sing his praises.

Boggling.

If you've seen some of Al's posts lately, you'll see that he does the
same thing. Take six verses from one place and a half a dozen from
another (and a grab bag of random ones) then string it together and
claim it's the opinion of God, when it's really the opinion of the bible
thumper in question. Even if one believes that the Bible was
written/inspired by God, that doesn't mean that essentially random
collections of verses from the Bible are the direct opinion of God.
There's so much stuff in the Bible that one can make it say practically
anything one wants it to say, and then claim that the very selective
version of the Bible that one preaches is the true words of God. And
since most people haven't read the Bible because it's really hard to
read it all the way through, they believe it.
