There is such a thing as friendly fire. (or it is called something like
that anyway) Accidents and mistakes do happen sometimes in Wartime and
in Civilian life too.The same thing happens in other Country's Military
units too.

No! It's time to take the war to Iran and show those Islamic goons a
thing or two.

The difference is that men were drafted into Vietnam.
Today men have volunteed and were sent to Iraq.

If you raise your right hand and sign on the dotted line
you have voluntarilly given your life to the Commander in Chief.

They deserve far more respect than any Vietnam draftee.

You might want to check yourself in regards to that statement.

Agree. Perhaps just a bad choice of words on his part?

Why? Simply because you are both Vietnam draftee Vets?
If you volunteer to go to Vietnam - then you can exclude yourself.

Nobody chooses war and all those that have gone deserve the same respect.

Thinking about that, a friend of mine fought in WWII... I had the pleasure of
staying with him and his family in Munich a good number of years ago.

He fought on the German side, and was captured by American forces. He said that he
was treated very well.

I always respected him because he fought for his country, whether I agreed with
his 'country's' side or not.

He recently passed away, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

R.I.P Gunther.
