Sharper image global tuner
 

Has anyone seen a review of the CT800 from sharper image. I bought one off
ebay and the dynamic range on SW seems to be quite poor. the SW part of the
radio seems to be nothing more more than the Toshiba TA8132AN AM/FM IC.
there are some other IC's like for the FM MPX and one other unidentified and
two other boards I haven't examined yet.
I wanted to see what the experience of others has been. It looks real cool
and isn't too bad at all on MW and FM.

this radio was designed in the US and built in China. it is not a rebadged
chinese OEM radio.

The way a radio looks or any radios look does not say anything about how
the radio(s) plays.I have some old radios here that look just like plain
dirt,but they play very well too.You can not judge a book by it's cover.
