E1 or Satellit 900
I was under the impression the E1 was a brand spanking new designed radio.
(I'm not involved in SW as most of the posters here so my misunderstanding should be expected) The following two links show a Satellit 900 and the E1. Other than XM and perhaps some LCD differences what is the hoopla regarding the new E1? Is it just because of the XM capability? http://www.satellit700.com/900/satellit900.html (Scroll to the bottom for links to the pics) http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgur...icial%26sa%3DN (Sorry for the massive Google image link) |

Few radios bring big innovations in design, so I wouldn't criticize the
E1 on that score. It's a new Eton model that has a relatively unique collection of features. Now, we must of course simply laugh at the idea that outfitting the E1 with XM is any kind of 'breakthrough', but the E1 is a new model and it will appeal to some people. End of story. As for the hoopla, I'm as puzzled by it as you are. Steve |
