I can't see an authorized retailer selling it for much less. I doubt
they would even knock the $30 of the price to make it even.

Sonystyle.com has it for $159.95

With the current exchange factored in plus Prov. and GST, the price
should be around $225 CDN (not including massive Sony mark-up and S&H)





Unfortunately, people here got accustomed to paying outrageous prices in
Canadian dollars back when the Canadian dollar was $0.60 US. Now that it's
around $0.81 or so, they still pay those same outrageous prices. Slowly,
internet and mail order eats into the local market, and eventually the
prices come down.
