Come up with something original, you say? OK,how about this? I have a
buddy who is my age and was in the Navy.He was a Ship Fitter/Pipe Fitter, four years on the USS Ticonderoga. They were in the Tonkin Gulf incident,,, "shootin at Whales" while I was in Vietnam issuing Ammunition so our guys could shoot at the Vietcong, the real thing, not at Whales. His oldest son works at the Mississippi Attorney General's office here in Jackson and he is a Chief Flight Loader in the Mississippi Air National Guard jst across the Pearl River from Jackson in Flowood,Mississippi and either this month or next month, his son will be in Oklahoma for training/school on the C-17 Aircraft. Not bad,eh? And his other son is an Engineer at BellSouth here in Jackson. They design circuits for BellSouth. cuhulin |

Its actually only £120 a year which is around $220.
Which isn't much to pay for television without commercials every 12.5 minutes. wrote in message ... In limeyland, they pay over $500.00 each year for a license to use their tv sets,it is not an April Fools joke either.I have an old Popular Science magazine here which dates back to the 1960's (it's floatin around here somewhere) and the article says they pay about 50.00 each year to use their tv sets in limeyland. So,in about forty years or so since the 1960's,those limeys tv license fees have jumped about five hundred dollars,or more ,for them to use their very own tv sets.Their tv license does cover more that one tv set per household though,if that's any kind of a consolation. That married Irish woman wayyyyyyyyyy over yonder across the big pond and I were talking about that about five years ago. cuhulin |
