Walgreen's Radio
I bought it at the Walgreen's store at Westland Plaza shopping center at
the intersection of Robinson Road and Ellis Ave this afternoon. They had a bunch of different kinds of radios marked down.It is a Lifelong Classic model number 2002 AM/FM radio. It says on the box,NEW! Classic Era Vacuum Tube AM/FM Radio. The regular price was $9.99 and it was marked down to $5.00.Of course it isn't a real tube type radio. It uses four AA batteries and it has a wire dangling out of the back of it for the FM antenna. It has three phoney clear plastic tubes on top with a sort of little metal or plastic round tube inside of each of the clear plastic tubes with a lot of little round holes in the tubes and right behind the tubes there is something made of plastic that looks sort of like an amplifier.According to the picture on the box,the tubes light up when it is turned on,sort of like real vacuum tubes do.It is such a neat looking little radio,it looks sort of like a little homebrew radio.I am fixing to put some batteries in it and try it out.Of course I don't expect much from such a cheap made in Slanteyed Chinkland radio. cuhulin |
