Walgreen's Radio

I bought it at the Walgreen's store at Westland Plaza shopping center at
the intersection of Robinson Road and Ellis Ave this afternoon. They had
a bunch of different kinds of radios marked down.It is a Lifelong
Classic model number 2002 AM/FM radio. It says on the box,NEW! Classic
Era Vacuum Tube AM/FM Radio. The regular price was $9.99 and it was
marked down to $5.00.Of course it isn't a real tube type radio. It uses
four AA batteries and it has a wire dangling out of the back of it for
the FM antenna. It has three phoney clear plastic tubes on top with a
sort of little metal or plastic round tube inside of each of the clear
plastic tubes with a lot of little round holes in the tubes and right
behind the tubes there is something made of plastic that looks sort of
like an amplifier.According to the picture on the box,the tubes light up
when it is turned on,sort of like real vacuum tubes do.It is such a neat
looking little radio,it looks sort of like a little homebrew radio.I am
fixing to put some batteries in it and try it out.Of course I don't
expect much from such a cheap made in Slanteyed Chinkland radio.

The pronoun "you" is already plural, you do not need to add "all" to it--
doing do is redundant.

(thou is the singular form, no longer in use much as it was not considered
polite)

It's been replaced by thou-all.

I wonder if it's the same radio discussed in this thread, two and a
half years old, from rec.antiques.radio+phono. It was plastic, had fake
tubes mounted on the chassis, and has some LEDs.

The radio appeared at http://www.bozzusa.com/ , but the link is dead
now.

Burled wood? I assume they are talking about the little curved plastic
end pieces, one on each side of the radio.I think I got gyped! My radio's
little curved plastic end pieces are snow white! Everything on top of
the radio is nothing but decoration, sort of like decorations on a
Christmas tree.

Of course not; I do not live in the United States. In Canada, our spelling
and grammar is British English. British, as in those islands that are home
to a little country called ENGLAND where the ENGLISH language comes from.

Surely 'Damn' is just part of the modern american language. *******ised
american so to speak. (Not an insult)
