WGN to be off the air late tonight
 

I've heard from another DXer friend that according to Glenn Hauser's
website...WGN 720 in Chicago will be off the air later on tonight from
2am-6am EDT on Saturday (4/30/05).

If this does happen...hopefully AM DXers will pick up a few great catches.

Currently hearing CHTN up in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada playing
oldies at 4:30 AM EDT.

oldies at 4:30 AM EDT.

At 5:15 EDT I can still hear CHTN in the background, but mixing with someone else,
not sure who it might be yet. The sun is coming up in PEI right about now.

seems to be a talk format but I can't pull them out. Might be KDWN out of Las
Vegas, but certainly running out of time here!

I do see that we have a solar storm going on so that may certainly have had a
bearing on reception conditions this morning.

If you heard a talk format, there's a good chance it was KDWN here in
Las Vegas. I believe most of the overnight talk is produced locally,
not piped in via satellite.
