CBC has done better than this, As It Happens has been on the air for 20
some years, and I did prefer Alan Maitland and Michael Enright, but
times change. Give them a chance for a few weeks, it's impossible for
every item to entertain every listener, every night. Still love it, tho.
Who I sorely miss are Peter Gzowski and Vicky Gabereaux, whose programs
I based my day around for many happy years.

I preferred Gabereaux on the radio. She's one smart cookie. Gzowski? He
should be nominated for broadcast sainthood. Now, one of them is dead and
the other's on TV. I wonder if they talk...

The only one I've found close to Gzowski is Phillip Adams on LNL (late night
live) on Radio Australia. You are right, he's a saint. Vicky was much
better on radio than TV.
